About this artwork
The work "Svalbard" was created based on my own photographic material. It depicts the glacier "Borebreen", which is located on the north coast of the Isfjord in central Spitsbergen. The title "Svalbard" is derived from the English or Norwegian name for the archipelago. The glacier, like many others on Spitsbergen, extends from the mountains down to sea level due to the arctic climate.
