About this artwork
Fine art print on Hanemühle Bamboo paper, solid oak American box frame, numbered and signed by the artist with a digigraphie® certificate. I took this photograph in Arles, during a workshop with photographer Martin Bogren. That morning, the Camargue seemed to float in an ethereal light, between mist, water, and silence. I photographed this Camargue horse with a Leica camera and a handcrafted filter placed in front of the lens, seeking to evoke an…
almost dreamlike presence emerging from the light. The blur, the halos, and the softness of the image gradually transform reality into an inner memory. The horse then becomes a silent apparition, crossing the water like a memory or an ancient dream. Through this photograph, I sought to capture that fragile moment where matter almost disappears in favor of pure emotion: a breath of light, a fleeting vision, a suspended sensation that escapes time and lingers long after the gaze has passed.

Laurent Parienti is a French photographer whose work explores light, silence, and nomadism. Nourished by the Mediterranean, travel, and the unseen, his photography oscillates between contemplation, memory, and presence. After traveling the world, he found his true artistic home in Greece. Inspired by the Aegean Sea, the Cyclades, and Greek mythology, he has developed a timeless photographic style where blue, white, gold, and light become an emotional language. Through his series "Aegean Reverie," he creates silent and contemplative images that invite the viewer on an inner journey. Alongside this Mediterranean work, he has been documenting the history of the Moken people, sea nomads living between Burma and Thailand, for several years, in an approach where reportage meets a more poetic and sensitive style. His work on the Moken is currently on display at the Leica Gallery in Marseille.
