About this artwork
The former plenary hall of the German Bundestag in Bonn, built by Behnisch & Partner and the plenary hall of the German Bundestag until 1999, is now part of the World Congress Center. Flooded with light and architecturally very successful, it is a magnificent symbol of a modern, open and transparent democracy.
You can see the ships passing by on the Rhine and feel the harmony of the hall. Many thanks to the World Congress Center Bonn for allowing… me to work on-site for two days – between conferences. I was proud to capture this special plenary hall on screen in such a short time; normally, I need three to five days.
This image was subsequently exhibited at the GIZ in Bonn, along with images of the other government buildings in Bonn and Berlin.
