At the meeting point of sea and shore, the restless ocean grows quiet. Seafoam gathers in delicate ribbons, resting briefly before returning to the deep. The colours are hushed—seaglass greens, warm sands, and a sky touched with fading light—forming a scene that feels both fleeting and eternal.
Captured on the shores of a small Orkney island, where history lingers in the landscape, the image is shaped as much by place as by moment. The distance… from the mainland, and the solitude it brings, allows a deeper stillness to emerge. In that solitude, I felt both small and deeply connected, as if standing within something timeless.
