This minimalist abstract seascape captures the soft grey, turquoise and beige hues of the outgoing tide over the wet sands of Luskentyre Beach in the Outer Hebrides. The gentle, luminous light dances across teal puddles, creating an ever-changing pattern on the sand. The calming colours in dusty summer blues and cream evoke a peaceful, serene atmosphere, offering space for the mind to wander.
Printed on premium Canson Aquarelle paper which is a… beautifully textured aquarelle paper
Image size 48 x 32 inches, plus a 3 inches white border for ease of framing.

I am drawn to the timeless beauty of Scotland’s remote coasts—the whisper of winds over Hebridean sands, the shifting light across ancient waters, the quiet drama of a sky before dawn. My work, steeped in lyrical abstraction, seeks not the exact form but the feeling of a moment. Each image is a meditation on place and memory, where colour and light breathe quietly together. Since 2012, I have journeyed to the Scottish Islands, creating works that now live in collections around the world. I have exhibited in the UK, New York, and South Korea, where my Skye Blue Abstracts—a long-running series in the deep blues that have become my signature—found a lasting audience. My art is a conversation with nature’s poetry, an invitation to pause, reflect, and find your own story in the folds of mist and shade.
