About this artwork
In these series "TENTATIVE D'ECRITURE", the artist questions the moment as the result of the accumulation of our personal and collective stories. For him, it is these experiences, added up from time immemorial, in a predecessor - successor relationship, that have shaped what we live in the present. It is therefore a work on erosion, the trace of time, timelessness. Against this eroded background, the characters of an imaginary, instinctual writing…
come to rest. The sign is indeed the vehicle of transmission, and it is the pictorial gesture which gives rhythm and momentum to this writing - graffiti. Some of the spaces and forms created by this writing are then filled with bright, joyful colors of the moment. This background with very vegetal, even aquatic tones, seems to be crossed by a multitude of small lively and cheerful beings. Are they frogs? Whatever it is, presence, energy and movement are there! And it is this life that counts!
