About this artwork
The inspiration for this sculpture comes both from nature and from the men who roamed it: the Hunter-Gatherers.
It is the encounter between nature, an environment of trees and tangled vines which is symbolized on one side by these branches that reach out, and Man, represented by the rather tribal motifs sculpted on the other side.
Sculpted, then textured, burned, inked, and finally waxed, this piece, with its understated and simple design, truly… captures the light. Presented on a simple steel base, this sculpture can also serve as a small room divider, defining a space, much like a screen.
