About this artwork
Music is very important to me and undoubtedly influences my work. When I was younger, I wanted to become a professional jazz pianist. Here, it's a concert that I wanted to represent, and beyond the simple concert, the music, the energy, the flights of fancy...
The characters were drawn in broad, quick, impulsive strokes, in time with what I was listening to.
Then the colors came like the notes of an instrument when the musician improvises, when… it is no longer the mind that expresses itself and calculates but the music and the emotion, the raw and joyful energy.
