Never exhibited before, this work on paper is rather confidential due to its style (figurative and narrative) which contrasts with my generally abstract work.

How should all these details be interpreted?
Has life stopped or is it starting… up again?
It's about warding off bad luck "by placing garlands on the ruins of houses." Like a defiant gesture against fate, it's a celebration of a Life that, whatever we inflict upon it, will never give up.
The line is lively, impulsive, sensitive. Created on 300gsm art paper, this painting is ready to be framed under glass, with or without a frame, with or without a mat (see photos).
