About this artwork
I am interested in the tension between abstraction and figuration. The smooth, repetitive structure of the background clashes with… the material, organic presence of the sculpture. Light simultaneously connects and separates: parts of the figure disappear into shadow, while individual highlights reveal its weight and physicality.
The title alludes to this ambivalence. Does the figure penetrate the picture plane—or is it constrained by the order of the space? The photograph does not resolve this tension, but rather leaves it open. It moves between still life, abstraction, and spatial study.

He creates a poetic visual language interested in forms and structures, combining this with a modern, conceptual approach that claims social relevance. In his works, he explores inner and outer landscapes, conveying feelings of longing and threat, as well as a fascination with the hidden. He has published various art publications (most recently "World of Water," 2025), which are represented internationally in academy and museum libraries (including Vienna, Basel, Düsseldorf, and Berlin).
