The ninth work in the Masks Series, STUPORE is a blessing, a wish and an exhortation to never lose the ability to look at the world with the wonder and vitality of youth, and to continue to create and spread our own magic in the world around us.

I paint the monsters of life, and celebrate the Rebirth.

But I paint monsters and I don't want to soften them: I just want them to stay there, nice and still on the canvas, so that the rebirth can take place.
I tell the story of bruised women who choose freedom; I tell the story of tenacious recovery after illness, after loss; of the child who faces bullies, depression, hunger, fathers deprived of their children: I tell the story of life's monsters, and of rebirth.
