About this artwork
The evening advances over the city of Venice and the colors light up and transform themselves acquiring the intensity of an expressionist and fauves palette. The place is linked to the painter's youth when he lived for a short time on the top floor of a Gothic palace on the Canale dei Greci in Venice. On the left appears the church of the Greeks, in the distance the bell tower of the church of San Giorgio sul Bacino di San Marco.
