About this artwork
From "The invisible cities": - Clarice, a glorious city, has a troubled history. It declined and flourished several times, always holding the first Clarice as an unparalleled model of all splendor... Times of poverty were succeeded by happier times: a sumptuous butterfly Clarice emerged from the beggarly chrysalis Clarice; the new abundance made the city overflow with new materials, buildings, objects; new people from outside were flocking in...…
In this work, I wanted to capture the essence of transformation and resilience, using styles ranging from Cubism to Surrealism. This painting represents a fantastic city that symbolizes the flight of human imagination and the beauty of unreality. Every corner of this work is designed to evoke wonder, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in a world of infinite possibilities. The energy it radiates is one of renewal and discovery, perfect for livening up any environment with a touch of magic and mystery.
Maria Pia Mucci, dedicated to painting and engraving, trained in Siena, Trieste and Venice. He uses mixed techniques, from watercolor to oil, through etching and woodcut, in a style inspired by surrealism and metaphysics. Through the themes of the "City" and the "Synapses", he reflects on social evolution and human relationships. His works convey a profound vision of urban dynamics and interpersonal contacts from the high vantage point of surrealism, without ever losing their lightness.
