About this artwork
From "Invisible Cities": - In Melania, every time you enter the square, you find yourself in the middle of a dialogue: the soldier... and the parasite meet with the young spendthrift... the father makes his last recommendations to his loving daughter and is interrupted by the foolish servant who goes to take a note to the procuress. You return to Melania after years and you find the same dialogue continuing... The population of Melania is renewed:… the dialoguers die... and in the meantime those who will take their place in the dialogue are born...
In my work, I have tried to capture the essence of surrealism and metaphysics through the use of vivid colors and geometric shapes. The central figures, immersed in this idealized urban space, represent human interconnectedness and the search for meaning. Through this painting, I wish to evoke reflections on existence and inner harmony, bringing an energy of contemplation and wonder into your home.
Maria Pia Mucci, dedicated to painting and engraving, trained in Siena, Trieste and Venice. He uses mixed techniques, from watercolor to oil, through etching and woodcut, in a style inspired by surrealism and metaphysics. Through the themes of the "City" and the "Synapses", he reflects on social evolution and human relationships. His works convey a profound vision of urban dynamics and interpersonal contacts from the high vantage point of surrealism, without ever losing their lightness.
