Bring Me Back My Summer
I painted this when I was longing—for light, for color, for the joy only summer brings. You know that feeling when the air is warm, everything is blooming, and your heart feels just a little lighter? That’s what I tried to capture here.

This piece is full of movement and memories: garden walks, blue skies, bare feet in cool grass, the sound of laughter echoing in the background. It’s messy in the most beautiful way—just like… real summer days.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
