About this artwork

“This painting reminds me a lot of think! But first I see myself walking freely in Paris and getting lost in some beautiful memories. But this memory came back when I stared at it for a while. When I was in my thirties I bought the most beautiful pair of sheets, yes sheets.. and they were light green, pink and white. Smells can bring you memory, food and colours. I know, it doesn’t not represent this very large cityscape but it brought back to… me beautiful memories... “

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
