About this artwork
Marsfeld XCII is one of the quietest works in my series – at first glance almost monochromatic, but on closer inspection a dense, nuanced network of countless color particles. From a distance, the surface appears almost grainy, like finely textured soil or compressed earth. But those who approach closer discover a surprising diversity of color: tiny pieces of blue, red, green, gold, pink, and black are evenly distributed as if in a natural movement.…
I see this painting as a kind of meditative tapestry – calm, focused, almost introverted. It invites the viewer to linger, to search, and to lose themselves. Despite its density, it remains open, minimalist, and elegant. It has an almost textile quality – like a woven field of color memories. It eschews obvious forms or movements, relying entirely on the power of the material. A painting that doesn't impose itself – but lingers.
