About this artwork
RE 29 was created in 2025 as part of my experimental painting practice. The painting did not develop from a fixed idea, but rather through painterly detours. The dominant green color field is interrupted by darker, earthy areas and lighter, almost translucent zones. These elements are the result of intuitive movements, reworkings, and deliberate interventions that lend the surface its own logic.
I understand this work as a space where control and… chance exist side by side on equal footing. Traces emerge, are partially erased, and reappear in altered form. What remains visible are movements, decisions, and the hesitations in between. The structured surface intensifies the depth of the color and lends the image presence.
With its compact format of 30 × 24 cm, RE 29 demands concentrated, close viewing. It opens up a quiet space for perception that has emerged from the creative process itself.
