About this artwork
RE 30 was created in 2025 as part of my experimental painting practice. The painting emerged from a phase of reduction in which color was not built up, but rather gradually condensed. Overlapping color zones develop a calm, horizontal structure that arose from the working process itself.
I worked with the interplay of surface, layering, and reduction. Paint was applied, then softened, and partially superimposed, creating a subtle balance between… presence and dissolution. The surface retains traces of these decisions, making the process visible without explaining it.
With its 40 × 30 cm format, RE 30 invites focused, close observation. The work remains open in its effect and is conceived as a tranquil space for perception that has grown out of experimentation.
