About this artwork
In "Latitudes 2," I immortalized a tropical twilight where the sky ignites with a flamboyant red that radiates throughout the composition. This incandescent light transforms the landscape into an almost mystical vision, where the lush vegetation interacts with the human habitat nestled in the heart of nature.
Palm trees soar majestically as traditional huts blend into this Edenic garden. I played with the contrasts between the intense green of the… foliage, the delicate pinks of the flowering trees, and the red-orange of the sky to create a chromatic symphony evoking the warmth and vitality of the tropics.
This work bears witness to my memories of Asia and Guyana, and reflects my fascination for these places where man and nature coexist in a precious and fragile harmony.
