About this artwork
Celtic Earth captures an almost mystical scene amidst the Nordic Icelandic plains, framed by dark, towering volcanoes. At the center of the scene, a group of wild horses graze peacefully, their silhouettes silhouetted against a low, sparse expanse of vegetation. The sky above them is heavy, covered in dark, stormy clouds that herald an imminent change in the weather. The scene exudes a powerful balance between the serenity of the horses and the harshness…
of a landscape shaped by timeless natural forces.
That day, while exploring the volcanic plains of northern Iceland, I came across a group of wild horses grazing peacefully. The place was plunged into near silence, disturbed only by the sound of the wind and the horses' movements. The landscape was charged with a Celtic atmosphere, like a return to an ancient time when the forces of nature completely dominated the world.
