About this artwork
I’m attracted to mundane locations, settings, and objects that inspire me to make art. I don’t know what it will look like, as I develop the result through my experience and knowledge of painting and my unconscious imagination.
Yellow Thing was a title I chose because the subject matter is ineffable, despite its photographic sensibility and characteristics. I like the idea of using my traditional visual art media skills alongside digital software… and tools. I never know what the next artwork will look like; curiosity guides me there. I'm interested in the thoughts the viewer has after seeing my work. I intentionally leave my paintings unframed to reveal the sides of the painting.
