The elven being doesn't reach for the dragon. She simply opens her hands — and he arrives, as if he always knew where he was going.
This is not magic in the theatrical sense. It is quieter. More important.
It is the moment two beings look at each other and understand: I know you. Not from this life, perhaps. But from somewhere real.
The blue and green around them are not background… — they are the energy of recognition made visible. The silver splashes are what creation looks like from the inside: scattered, luminous, impossible to hold.
I painted this from the belief that connection is its own kind of light. That tenderness, when genuine, generates something — warmth, the quiet certainty that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Some things cannot be explained.
They can only be felt.
And recognised.
They happen by recognition.
