About this artwork
The work made of ash wood shows a contrast in form in a bowl-like smooth body that merges into a perforated belly part. The optical balance of these two very different forms of expression, united in one blank, was important to me. The viewer has a hard time seeing the overall shape or the perforated belly part as the main eye-catcher. Like many of my works, the "perforated belly bowl" can be placed hanging freely in the room, on the wall or in front…
