About this artwork
I play with the shape based on an existing characteristic of the blank. This piece of linden wood from the inside of a mighty avenue tree was first rounded with a chainsaw according to its special basic shape and then smoothed with special sanding work. Two standing ovals that had grown together were then formed into tubs. The outline was continued in spiral-shaped notches in the tub surfaces. The double tub object shows my love for Tai Chi-like,…
