The wall of glossy women is a curriculum: bodies arranged as lessons in performance, submission, exaggeration.
Each cover shouts excitement & arousal. Urgency. All together, a catalogue or repetition.
The man’s back is crucial.
The outline of a body trained to look without being seen looking. He is absorbed, almost swallowed, by the grid of images.
The power dynamic quietly inverts: he appears smaller than the women towering above him.
They are… flat, two-dimensional, yet they occupy more visual authority than the living figure in front of them.
Tension is the core. Male sexuality is shaped by accumulation vs intimacy. The desire is to consume, to collect, & to own.
Heavy loneliness is eminent.
Surrounded by endless promises of access, he is alone, facing a universe that will never look back.
The real cost of this culture of spectacle is both: it flattens women, & quietly empties men, moving their perception of reality to pictures that can never reciprocate.
