Patriarchy rarely begins with power.
It begins with a lesson.
A woman reduced to fragments, a boy granted the full privilege of a face.
Her body is complete yet partially erased. Identity sacrificed to outline, fabric, posture.
Her body symbolic to the world that has long learned to divide women: desirable / respectable, good / bad, visible / unheard.
He is not yet a man, yet already positioned as witness & judge. He learns, even in stillness, that… the world arranges itself for his gaze.
The power imbalance is not loud; it is architectural.
This is how patriarchy inscribes itself before language:
in what is framed and what is cut off; in who is allowed to be a person, and who is first encountered as a surface.
We are witnessing inheritance.
A system passed from hand to hand, glance to glance, until someone finally notices that the headless figure at the edge of the frame has been carrying the weight of the story all along.
