About this artwork

This piece originally depicted a cluster of Parisian rooftop chimneys. You can still see bits of them peeking out from behind. I had recently delved into floral forms and wanted to feature their burst of color on this canvas. Strolling through Belleville park one day, I snapped a photo of this wonderful 'ancient' rose. Et voilà. I like the complementary contrast of the organic bloom against the geometry of the elided architecture.

In this… piece, I poured my passion for delicate beauty and harmony into every brushstroke. The rich reds bloom against the vintage sheet music, symbolizing love intertwined with timeless memories. I wanted to evoke warmth and nostalgia, creating a vibrant energy that transforms any space into a sanctuary of emotion and artistry. This work encourages you to cherish the fleeting moments that blossom in life.
