About this artwork
In this work I experimented with analog photography to create a deep, texture-rich black and white composition that highlights an abstract form. The mood is introspective and invites you to think. It is intended to encourage the viewer to reflect on the nature of perception and the meaning of form in the void. This image brings a calm but powerful energy to any room, a visual poetry play of light and shadow.

Paul Gross’ photographs have been extensively exhibited in both Germany and Japan. Within his art, he explores and expands the limits of classic photography. The relationship between photography and object plays an important role in all of Gross’ work. Using various techniques and equipment, including movement and exposure time, objects in his pieces can appear abstract and bizarre. Thereby the object loses its function as a “memory aid”, blurring the definition and limitations of the medium.
