About this artwork
This photographic work is a unique piece of art. It is printed on transparent film paper mounted on a forest in which I have previously intervened by painting pink and gluing gold leaf, which leaves small gaps where the pink can be seen. The work has golden reflections and such a particular tonality that it not only changes naturally, but from the point of view it is observed due to the gold leaf. It has a classic engraved effect due to the details… of being on a pictorially intervened surface.
It captures the connection of human nature and the natural world, merged in a mystical instant. The hybrid elements refer to the interconnection between us and the earth, encouraging reflection on our relationship with the environment. This photograph will not only decorate a space, but will also provide a powerful charge of introspection and connection with the primitive and the contemporary.
Paula Segarra is a painter and draftsman whose art is an introspective refuge. He uses abstract and figurative techniques, creating "accidents" on his canvas that challenge academic reconstruction and drive innovation. Deeply linked to existentialism, it immerses the observer in an ocean of doubts and discoveries, exploring the duality of the human essence and the constant search for transcendence. Their vivid representations combine sensuality and terror, making us face the fragile line that separates life from death and question where our true essence lies.
