Jug of peaches
The still life "Pitcher with Peaches" is one of my favorite subjects. This particular painting dates from the years when I began working with very muted colors on a very rough surface, inspired by the Wabi-Sabi style. In these paintings, the pieces of fruit are usually placed in bowls or baskets in a neutral space, radiating a melancholic tranquility. In the art world, beauty is often associated with perfection. But I challenge this… notion by celebrating the imperfection and beauty of natural materials. I use only the highest quality materials, including the best pigments and finest oil paints, to ensure that each piece is unique and expressive.
