About this artwork
In my painting titled "Rush Hour," I wanted to depict typical urban feelings such as hecticness, lack of time, isolation, and superficiality. The people are painted in black and white and shades of gray. The only two people facing each other and communicating are painted in shades of red and blue. These two colors radiate into the image.
This mixed-media painting was exhibited at the ARTe art fair in Konstanz and at the pop-up exhibition "Historical… Manor House Wienhausen" near Celle in 2024. The sides of the painting are painted, allowing it to be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the painting is varnished with UV protection. I offer to paint a painting in a similar style and in the desired format as a commissioned work.

Peter Stahr works as a painter and digital artist with a background in painting, media art, and web design, having completed his art studies in Braunschweig. He prefers acrylic and mixed media on large canvases, combining pigments, dispersions, earths, and other materials to create complex, profound works that oscillate between abstraction and representation. His abstract seascapes convey longing, inner peace, wanderlust, and hope, inviting the viewer on emotional journeys of discovery to places of personal longing. In Stahr's works, reality and imagination merge into a powerful visual language that extends far beyond the visible. His compositions are not mere depictions, but transformations of reality; an invitation to perceive the world with new eyes in all its complexity and to embark on a sensual journey between reality and vision.
