About this artwork
The painting depicts an abstract seascape with an island on the horizon, and in the foreground, a wave crashes towards the viewer. It evokes the feeling of sailing towards or away from the island. For me, painting this picture was about embarking on something new. with various materials create greater depth and unique light effects. The painting was exhibited in solo shows in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe art fair in Konstanz in 2024.
