About this artwork
The tranquil painting depicts a surreal, abstract seascape. A turquoise sea with a coastline in shades of orange, yellow, and violet. I painted this mysterious landscape freely, drawing on my feelings. The result evoked for me the fantastic novel of the same name by Stanislav Lem. Solaris deals with humanity's encounter with extraterrestrial life—but also with itself.
The painting was exhibited in solo shows in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023.… The sides of the painting are also painted, allowing it to be hung without a frame. The painting is signed and numbered on both the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface has a protective varnish layer with UV protection. This is a giclée print of the original artwork, printed on canvas in its original size. Prints in other formats are available.
