About this artwork
The sculpture entitled "Guardian Spirit" is based on experiences I had while hiking in northern Scandinavia under extreme conditions. To quote a representative of the indigenous Sami people: "Out in the wilderness, anyone who opens themselves becomes a shaman." Guardian spirits then serve as advisors and companions.
