About this artwork
My piece “Climb Through the Moment” is a deeper look into the reflection of where we see ourselves today and where we see ourselves in the future. Can we climb the tree and stretch our own limbs to the potential we see in ourselves? What do we do if we falter? What do we do if we can not see what comes next? Can we climb through the moment as it comes our way?
My piece “Climb Through the Moment” was made especially for the Nartwork Exhibition “A… Change of Time.” It reflects my focus to link to the present moment, to focus on what is now and to see where the now can extend me into the future.

Rika Maja Duevel is a painter/mixed media artist from Stavanger, Norway living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her artwork manifests from her daily experiences, capturing the moment through an introverted lens. A focus on her own female experience and the journey and deeper research into the concept of the Introverted Artist, the unseen soul. An award-winning artist and graduate of Wheaton College, SACI, and Lesley University she has exhibited in Amsterdam, Rome, Venice, Bologna, Naples, Florence, Milan, Barcelona, Granada, Paris, Seoul , Tokyo, and Buenos Aires. An Artist in Residence in Barcelona, Granada, Spain, Ardèche, France, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Guest Artist Lecturer at the University of Amsterdam’s Business School (UVA), published in the “50 Artists to Watch 2023” and “50 Artists to Discover 2025” by the Florence Contemporary Gallery, and named one of the “Top 30 Influential Women Entrepreneurs to Watch Out For in 2025” by NY Weekly Magazine.
