About this artwork
In 2024 I started a series of nature paintings focusing on the light in the dark. It then became a series called Mysterious Forests.
I had a canvas measuring 80 x 50cm and I found this somewhat unusual format really interesting to work with.
While I was painting it, I remembered an old Danish children's song, "High on a branch a crow sat". The song ends with "Then came a hideous hunter. He shot the poor crow down".
But you can be sure that I haven't… hidden a hideous hunter in the bushes.
