About this artwork
A vivid dialogue between past and present memories unfolds in this work. The composition moves between a softened, faded background and a luminous cluster of reds, oranges and greens which embodies the vitality of living memory, while the faded blues suggest fragments slipping into distance.
A stitched key appears in the present, opposed by a lock in the past - a reminder that time holds both access and secrecy.
The cross-stitching on the left… becomes a metaphor of repair, binding together scraps of letters, wprds, or forgotten fragments.
Bold and radiant against the calm of blue, the colours capture the tension between what we hold close and what drifts away.
Nature, to me, is not merely a subject but an emotional landscape. My work explores fleeting, often overlooked moments where light, texture, and stillness converge to create something deeply felt. Drawn to flowers, leaves, water, and subtle atmospheric shifts, I use acrylics, watercolours, and occasionally cotton threads to build layered compositions rich in emotion and texture. A recurring theme in my practice is the exploration of women and flowers, inspired by everyday scenes of women adorned with flowers in quiet, unguarded moments. Over time, these works have evolved from simple observations into introspective narratives, where the female figure becomes a vessel for memory, silence, emotion, and human connection. Through my work, I seek to create contemplative spaces that invite viewers to pause and reconnect with quiet beauty.
