About this artwork
This work, which I titled "Winter," reflects those moments when everything seems to stand still. For me, winter isn't just a season, but a metaphor for those necessary pauses, when even the most tumultuous thoughts and complex decisions come to a standstill, allowing me space for introspection. I tried to capture this sense of stillness and suspension.
I wanted to create a landscape that was both figurative and abstract. There are elements that… recall form, as if one could glimpse horizons or frozen surfaces, but the whole is immersed in an abstraction that allows the viewer to lose themselves and find their own meaning. The use of cool tones and the textures I applied help evoke this feeling of winter stillness, of a world resting, awaiting a new beginning.
