Opus XV – Phantom Gallop captures the moment where movement becomes pure spirit.
On a swirling base of fluid acrylic pouring and cells, luminous reds, purples and blues flow like cosmic winds or distant nebulae. At the heart of the composition, a dark, textured window opens into another realm, where spectral horse forms slowly emerge – built from countless small dots and sculpted modeling paste.…

This piece stands between abstraction and apparition: the horses are not literal portraits, but echoes of motion, like memories of a gallop that still vibrates in the air. The contrast between the dynamic, flowing background and the concentrated central field creates a strong visual tension, drawing the viewer inward.

Part of my ongoing Opus series, Phantom Gallop explores freedom, release and the invisible forces that drive us forward. It is both energetic and contemplative – a work meant to be discovered slowly, layer by layer.

My name is Sotiris Christodoulou, a Greek contemporary artist working primarily with acrylics on canvas.

After many life experiences and personal storms at the age of 52, I made a clear decision: to dedicate myself fully to what I have always loved most — creating.

My work explores rhythm, geometry, balance, and energetic connections through abstract compositions. Each piece is part of my ongoing Opus series, where form and color interact like a living visual language.

I began this focused artistic journey recently, and within a short period I have completed multiple original works, each one reflecting growth, discipline, and passion.
Every painting is an original, hand-crafted artwork, finished with care and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
