About this artwork
In this piece, I captured the chaotic harmony between nature and humanity through vibrant colors and fluid forms. The flowing fountain symbolizes life’s continuous energy, while the surrounding creatures and figures reflect the interconnectedness of all beings. This work radiates a lively, dreamlike energy, inviting you to feel a deep connection to both wildness and delicate moments within your space.
As an inner landscape, the environment expresses… what the fountain cannot articulate directly. The fountain offers structure-verticality, containment, coherence-while the surrounding field reveals the intuitive and emotional currents that shape the work. The swirling colors and botanical forms behave like dream imagery: associative, fluid, alive. They give form to instinct, memory, and mood, becoming a kind of psychic weather system around the fountain's spine.
Stephen Linsteadt expresses transformative themes on canvas through oil. His approach involves intentional brushstrokes, mindful of color, pattern and surprises in creation. His works act as bridges, balancing between conscious and unconscious realms, reflecting a deeply spiritual, introspective dialogue.
