About this artwork
The figures in "Muriel Two" are outlined with loose, flowing strokes that radiate with vibrant hues of pink, blue, and yellow.… These colors breathe life into the forms, emphasizing their fluidity and the sense of perpetual dance. The painting pulses with energy, drawing the viewer into a scene that is at once still and brimming with motion.
The inspiration for this artwork stemmed from a remarkable model named Muriel. Her presence was captivating—large in stature yet beautifully graceful, with a palpable spirit and excellent sense of humor. I invite you to enjoy her as much as I did in making this painting!
