About this artwork
In this piece, I explore the tension and connection through abstract forms and delicate cotton threads, between a fire card designed and made by myself and a horrific fire that took place in London, killing many who happened to be living in the block of flats known as Grenfell towers. We also think of a parallel horror that has just happened in Hong Kong,
For the building above I used a collaged photograph the create the structure and the tarot… like card itself, is one of the series I designed and printed called 'the Talking Deck', more about this deck can be seen on my website under my collections 'Works on paper':

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography.
