About this artwork
During lockdown, we were confined to the four walls of our own homes as the news streamed grim and spectacular images of world events into our living rooms. I began to reimagine and furnish rooms I knew from memory, curating the paintings and poems in these interiors.
For all those who managed to travel during the Pandemic, waiting it out in their destination, self- testing and being tracked by friendly government advisors, I created a luxury… bathroom with my own poem 'After the Healing' on the wall with flooring 'Millions' including resident cockroach. Shower curtains created from NASA diagrams of space junk.

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
