About this artwork
On many of my 'swalkeling' trips, I have been noticing abstract discarded tags and triggers alarms, stripped from the article they were designed to protect from theft, found stuck to the pavement.
I have collated them together into a collection of found stickers against a cracked concrete canvas, which has also been drawn on by a wandering snail....or this a trace of graffiti ?
This digital drawing has allowed me to show you what I have been observing… over many years, it invites you to ask if you have seen the same thing or know what these things are and what do they mean to you ?
This artwork reminds us that the discarded holds deep meaning. You will recognise looking through my series, this is a motif amplified in many places in my work.
The print is printed on high quality matt photographic paper, signed on the back to retain the integrity of the image.
