About this artwork
In 'Venice - St Marks' I took a collection of confetti flames and people on a 'swalkeling' trip to Italy and let them drift on the canals and streets of Venice.
This photoshoot led to a discovery of the beautiful marble floor in St Mark's Square, which is regularly flooded. One single confetti flame was placed be myself on the ground, it has a freedom to roam, taking on a life of its own.The vectors of water, gravity and the actual movement of flood… waters themselves, will propel this confetti away from St Marks until it finds a different resting place. The photograph itself has been enhanced with a 'digital spill' which connotes the future journey of this object and the flooding which regualrly occurs in this square.
The limited edition photographic print is printed on high quality matt photographic paper and ready to frame.
It is signed on the back to retain the integrity of the image.
