About this artwork
Printed cotton threads with exposed chromaluxe aluminum print.
Four metallic columns rise through a woven mountain range like afterimages breaking the surface. The cold precision of aluminum answers the softness of thread — one landscape remembering itself twice.

Natalia y Salomon Sutton is a Mexican visual artist whose multidisciplinary background spans filmmaking, photography, painting, textiles, and installation. She employs deeply handcrafted techniques—layering archival prints, thread, encaustic, oil paint, and hand-cut paper—to fragment and transform images, creating unique and tactile objects that defy digital reproducibility. Her emotionally resonant works evoke the tension between memory and absence, encouraging the viewer to slow down, look closely, and rediscover physical presence in a fleeting, immaterial world.
