About this artwork
This heliogravure evokes the beauty of mountain landscapes by calm water, blending minerals and plants.
In one of the works, the ibis is the strong element and embodies majesty and elegance in a natural setting.
As for the other, the omnipresence of the mountains accentuates the perspective towards a distant view.
It is presented under glass or plexiglass with an oak frame.
This work is produced using Heliogravure on a photopolymer plate and… 300gsm Hahnemühle paper.
Photogravure is a craft technique dating back to the 19th century for reproducing an image in large numbers; it is used today mainly in the artistic field.
It is the result of transferring an image of two of my painted creations onto a photopolymer plate heated under ultraviolet light in a UV exposure unit. The plate is then inked by hand and printed in my studio.
