About this artwork
This series explores the tension between appearance and essence through the thermal manipulation of matter. White represents the imposed "reality": a superficial crust that attempts to cover everything. The underlying blue is the neurovergent self, a profound and constant force.
Unlike other works based on cutting, here the conflict occurs through friction, using heat to stress the white surface, creating transparencies, fibrous tears, and chaotic… movements that reveal the blue beneath. It is the visual representation of "burning thought": the intensity of ideas and emotions that dissolve the rigidity of the surrounding reality.
In these tormented surfaces, the abstract silhouette of a cat often emerges, like a shadow or a thermal imprint: not a drawing, but a presence emerging from the struggle between layers of color. Each work in this series is a battle; indeed, perhaps every one of my works is.

ThaBlueCat, a self-taught Italian visual artist, combines painting, sculpture and symbolic language in his art. He uses techniques such as expressive divisionism and the use of translucent materials such as blue PETG for his sculptures, often backlit to symbolize an internal consciousness. His works explore the autistic condition, symbolized through the figure of the Blue Cat, trying to express themes such as perception, isolation and acute sensitivity. Emotions of tension, attention, introspection and resistance pervade his work, a resistant art form that speaks to those who feel out of step with the world.
