Faces 12 is a painting of presence suspended—where emotion doesn’t declare itself, but drifts just beneath the surface. At 100 x 100 cm, the square frame holds a calm, blue-toned field of fractured geometry. The faces here feel distant, not in absence, but in mood—quiet, reflective, submerged in thought.
Using my hand-painted polygon technique, I let structure soften. Edges blur into each other like ripples. The palette—cool blues, pale greens, deep… indigos, and flickers of amber—suggests a watery light, something weightless yet emotionally heavy.
Unlike the intensity of Faces 10 or the layered complexity of Faces 11, this piece is more restrained. It’s a slow reveal—more atmosphere than confrontation. The faces seem to drift apart, held loosely by color and memory.
Faces 12 is about emotional distance—the kind that isn’t cold, but contemplative. A quiet meditation on fading, reflection, and the soft outlines of presence just beyond reach.
